ACTOR Ian Richardson is perhaps best known for his sinister and stunning portrayal of Machiavellian politician Francis Urquhart in the House Of Cards trilogy for the BBC.
He comes to Malvern Theatres next month with The Creeper, a tense and dangerous tale of the unexpected.
As well as leading roles in Porterhouse Blue, Gormenghast, The Final Cut, Blunt and Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy, he has most recently been TV in the BBC's dramatisation of Charles Dicken's Bleak House.
Ian has had a long and prestigious association with the RSC, appearing countless times with them, perhaps most memorably as Richard II.
The Creeper is an extraordinary, enthralling drama, set in the mid-sixties, about a young opportunist who works his way into the home of a prosperous if eccentric member of the landed gentry with fascinating results.
Dark secrets emerge as the younger man, skilfully concealing his shady past, begins to exert his power and challenge the status quo.
This elegant revival is directed by Olivier award-winning Bill Bryden CBE.
Don't miss one of Britain's finest stage actors in this wonderfully engaging and thrilling drama directly prior to West End transfer.
The Creeper is at Malvern Theatres from Monday, January 30 to Friday, February 4. Tickets are £16 to £24 and can be booked through the Box Office on 01684 892277 or on-line at www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
