BRITAIN'S very own 'king of skiffle', Lonnie Donegan, will be paid tribute by artist Paul Leegan when he puts on a concert at the Artrix on Saturday, January 21.
Leegan, who befriended Donegan before he passed away in 2002, received his blessing to accurately bring back to life one of Britain's first ever pop megastars.
Donegan shot to fame in the late 1950s when song Rock Island Line sold three million copies.
Leegan pays tribute to his mentor and friend in Putting on the Style, where he performs songs by the great man and many pieces by the skiffle bands that followed in Donegan's footsteps.
Tickets for the show cost £12 and can be bought by contacting the box-office in 01527 577330. The Artrix is on School Drive and the show starts at 8pm.
