THE hearts of some of our misguided local teenage tearaways, who get peculiar pleasure from tying tin cans to cat's tails for a bit of fun, must have leapt for joy seeing the Journal's front page. A hunting we will go (December 29).
All those seriously respectable adults, with their pack of dogs, taking over our streets desperately seeking to enjoy the pleasure of harassing hares, deer and foxes, before inflicting a traditionally sporting, glorious death on the cutting edge of fine fearless fangs.
So it's all against the law, but what teenager is going to care, with so much in your face adult mockery of the law as a role model! Is there a good case here for the teenager's scourge, the dreaded ASBO, to be brought into action on this minority of ill advised adults, who are setting such a poor example to the youth of today?
MICHAEL T PARKER, Main Street, Sedgeberrow.
