STOURBRIDGE musician John Mono (aka John Ricketts) has released a Xmas single.
The 48-year-old singer/songwriter from Amblecote, who is making a comeback after 26 years in the musical wilderness, has written and recorded It Dow Snow (at Christmas in the Black Country Anymore).
Helped by 13-year-olds Shauni Foxall, and Philippa Bailey, from Summerhill School, Kingswinford, as well as his own son Alex Ricketts and Joshua Portman, from Redhill School, plus parents Sarah Foxall and Tina Ricketts, the track was recorded in the spare room at John's Brambling Walk home.
It is available to buy from Stourbridge Music Centre, Lower High Street, Stourbridge, as well as Reddingtons Records in Digbeth, Birmingham, and by mail order from his website www.monochromemuseum.co.uk - priced £2.50.
