BADSEY will unrelentingly oppose yet another attempt by Willersey to dump its HGV traffic through Badsey.
Friday, December 2, 09.05am a traffic survey revealed 630 vehicles in the next hour, ie one per second. I repeat one per second, passing along the main road of these, 39 were artics - only 70 per cent of the usual 55 when groups of two to four frequently pass through.
Willersey should put its own house in order first by banning parking, through the narrow beginning of Broadway road, where parked cars take up 35 per cent of the road width on a blind curve. A hazard negotiated 25 times a day by the village bus alone.
Colin Lane - a difficult winding route even in a car is already a ready built bypass.
ROGER MARTIN, Synehurst, Badsey.
