ST James' School choir will fill Malvern Priory with festive sound next Saturday (December 10) when it performs a pre-Christmas concert with the Elgar Chorale.

Conducted by its director of music Lynne Linder, the girls will perform Britten's Ceremony of Carols, accompanied by harp.

Professional harpist Catherine White will accompany the girls and also play Variations pastorel sur un vieux Noel, a French showpiece by Marcel Sumuel- Rousseau.

The Elgar Chorale's programme includes arrangements of Worcester carols by conductor Donald Hunt and a performance of Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols.

The Malvern Priory concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 (concessions £8) and £5, available from 01905 611427 or the school on 01684 560851.

There will be another chance to enjoy the concert at St Martin's Church, London Road, Worcester on Tuesday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
