INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: The AGM was held in the Royal British Legion Hall on November 23. The chairman, Ben Jeffrey, opened the meeting by asking members to stand for a minute's silence in memory of Mrs D Chilton, a member who will be greatly missed.
The chairman then presented a charity cheque for £500 (raised at coffee mornings) to the Matron of Moreton Hospital and Mr David Glaisyer, chairman of the League of Friends of Moreton Hospital. Matron thanked members and said that the money would go to a special project to obtain a Humphrey visual field test analyser.
The representative for the County Air Ambulance was not able to collect the £500 cheque due to bad weather.
The secretary read the minutes of the meeting on October 12, followed by the AGM minutes for November 10, 2004. The chairman thanked all his committee for their support and help over the year.
Key members of the committee then gave their reports. With the exception of two all committee members were re-elected. Mrs Dudley Smith joined the committee.
