I think the letter from Robert Banks regarding The Conservative Party Leaders "race" warrants a reply.

Goodness knows why he thinks David Cameron will make a good leader; he has so far been evasive about his policies, and does not appear to know which camp to follow. It is unfortunate now, but the only person who could have given the Tories some credence would have been Kenneth Clarke. He had "The Clout" to rattle this pathetic government and would have had Blair quaking at the dispatch box. All we shall get if Cameron is selected is a Teflon Tony clone and that is the last thing this country needs. At least David Davies comes with a little bit of credibility and will hold the parties middle to right majority and not give in to the "lefties", who are sadly killing the conservative party.
