ALT-rock/country act Highway Five will be hoping to make some noise at Worcester's Paul Pry pub in The Butts this weekend as they play a gig there.
The three-piece band sound like a mix of mid-70s' Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix and Free. They are Noor Ali, from Malvern, on guitar and vocals, Ben Williams, from Worcester, on bass and vocals and Duncan Mounsor, from Cheltenham, on drums.
They have been together now for two years and are getting a good name from their powerful live shows, which mix fractured originals with unusual covers.
The act, who have played the Paul Pry several times previously, also do a nice line in bittersweet ballads with a raw edge. The gig starts at 9pm and admission is free.
