ONCE more, Midland Musical Theatre Group (MMTG) have come up with a super new show of spectacular dress and movement.

All the acts were choreographed to encompass interesting steps and an engaging use of floor space. Lighting and projection were complimentary.

Come Fly With Me opened in a glitter of pink, black and gold, and It's Magic was a lovely vision in turquoise and silver. The latter was outstanding for high quality ensemble singing and excellent accompaniment - under Rick Godsall's skilful direction.

Elegant Mask-a-Rade combined fine singing, as music by Andrew Lloyd Webber inspired and masks, feathered fans and costumes of white, silver and pink, allured.

Beatles' songs and Mary Quant-type minis were reminiscent of the 60s, and bathed in glowing red, the Armistice was remembered.

Harlequin Dancers represented The Lion King in jungle rhythm and colours, while That Old Black Magic was sensuous.

Barry North entertained with the voluptuous costumes and unspoken innuendoes in guises of Marlene Dietrich, a not-so-coy milkmaid and a past-her-sell-by-date ballet dancer.

It was all good fun and the audience loved it.

Christmas Magic was the stunning finale of red satin dresses and white fur. Eventually the entire company was on stage for I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas, complete with flurries of snow.

The show continues until tomorrow (Saturday).
