TWO students from schools in Bewdley and Stourport will be competing for the title of Worcestershire Young Musician 2005 tonight.
Simon Bromley, 17, of Bewdley High School and Christopher Fossey, 17, of Stourport High School will perform at Huntingdon Hall, Worcester at 7pm.
Christopher who lives in Areley Kings will be playing Clair de Lune and Autumn Crocus on the piano.
Simon, who is a trumpet player, has just won a place at The Royal Northern College and lives in Shropshire.
He will be performing the final movement of Hummel's trumpet concerto.
This is the seventh year of Worcestershire Young Musicians, in partnership with BBC Hereford and Worcester and six young soloists and two ensembles from schools across the county were selected from the first round entries to perform in the final.
The titles of Worcestershire Young Musicians 2005 will be awarded at the end of the evening and the solo winner will receive The Nomura Award, a prize of £250, which will enable them to have a lesson with a leading performer and teacher.
Winners of the ensemble category will be awarded £250 for their school's music department.
