A FEAST of Christmas music will be performed by the Kidderminster Valentines to raise money for Kemp Hospice.
The annual festive concert will be held at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, December 3 at 7.30pm.
Their special guests for the night will be The Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir and soloist, Kiera Lyness.
The Kidderminster Valentines will be performing Christmas songs, including Winter Wonderland arranged by accompanist Morfudd Sinclair.
The Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir, which has around 70 members and was founded in 1908 by a group of enthusiastic young members of the Trinity Church, Abertillery, will be singing several songs, including Gwahoddiadd and There is a Land.
In 1982, the group performed in front of 200,000 Easter pilgrims and Pope John Paul II in St Peter's Square in Rome.
The choir's musical director is Stephen Bard, who has held the position since 2001 and has conducted the group at several prestigious events, including the Garden Festival of Wales.
Soprano Kiera, who is originally from Wolverley, will be singing songs from Gilbert and Sullivan operas.
She studied at Trinity College of Music, London and Utrecht Conservatorium, Holland and is currently living in London.
Kiera, who has appeared in many professional operas, has performed in professional operas including Cosi Fan Tutte, La Serva Padrona, Hansel and Gretel, Anacron and Barber of Seville.
Pam Cunningham, musical director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Kiera back and to welcome the Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir.
"We try to do one or two events for Kemp Hospice because we really appreciate the work they do within the community."
They will also be performing at Worcestershire County Museum, based at Hartlebury Castle, on Sunday, December 4 and Sunday, December 11.
She added: "The Valentines are delighted to have been invited to sing at the Royal Albert Hall next November, at the Festival of Brass and Voices. We hope to have good support from the Kidderminster folks."
