This historic building sits like a jewel in the crown of Stourbridge and has now received the sympathetic and generous restorative attention it deserves.
The new bar is as contemporary as any found in the big cities and yet retains the character and breeding of this classic venue and is full of appealing designs and textures but more importantly an inviting atmosphere.
The grand coaching entry is now open to lead you into a white marble foyer with separate themed dining areas in distinctive styles; a snug in regal purple highlights the fine antique furniture, with a cream and brown dining lounge and the exquisite blend of old and new fit comfortably together with a caf bar and a new menu. The Talbot is back to its former glory with many more planned improvements to the ballroom and accommodation on going.
The traditional Christmas fayre menu is available between 1st December and 6th January from £26.95, 50% less for children and has chicken and champagne pate, roast turkey, beef or salmon. There's plum pudding, black forest gateaux or choice of sweets with coffee, tea and warm mince pies to satisfy the largest of appetites.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve there will be two sittings at 12.30 and 15.30 for only £36.95, children 50% less. Bookings are being taken now so be wise and rediscover this gem in our town as this is going to be a very popular destination!
