THE classic story of a working-class Liverpool girl's hunger for education will be brought to life by the Swan Theatre's amateur company in Worcester.
The group presents a revised version of Willy Russell's Educating Rita, which tells the tale of Frank, an English tutor whose disillusioned outlook on life drives him to the bottle.
He helps Rita, a hairdresser, embark on an Open University course and through serious and comic moments the pair both end up learning something.
The production follows previous successes by the same playwright performed by the company including Stags and Hens and Shirley Valentine.
Educating Rita runs from Tuesday, November 22 to Saturday, November 26 with performances at 7.30pm.
Tickets on the opening night are £7, and £9.50 all other nights (concession £8).
