HEREFORD Museum and Art Gallery plays host to two distinctive exhibitions from Saturday; one featuring the best of contemporary British illustration, the other celebrating the fun of creative recycling.
Images 29, an exhibition of contemporary British illustration, provides an overview of the wealth and variety of work being produced in the UK, from traditional line drawing to digital techniques.
Hereford is represented by two illustrators: Matthew Richardson and Darryl Waller - tutor and former student at the Herefordshire College of Art & Design respectively.
Reincarnated Rubbish, an exhibition of work by Val Hunt, retrieves those everyday things we throw away and presents them in a new and fascinating dimension.
This retrospective exhibition encompasses the whole spectrum of Val's creative recycling and is full of witty, imaginative and thought-provoking constructions that will whet the appetite and encourage everyone to experience the fun of creative recycling.
Val has used a diverse selection of rubbish in this show, but her favourite material is drinks' can metal.
Admission to Hereford Museum and Art Gallery is free and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm.
