THE third instalment of the epic's second trilogy has completed every Star Wars fan's collection, but true lovers of George Lucas' masterpieces will probably stick with the idea that the original three were the best.
Revenge of the Sith again blesses us with stunning visuals, amazing special effects, and that trademark Star Wars action.
It also has the added bonus of being the link between the original trilogy and the new films, showing us how Anakin Skywalker ended up as Darth Vader wearing "that mask" and how the galaxy ended up in the state it is at the beginning of the first film ever made.
Unfortunately, once you've seen one light saber duel, you've seen 'em all, and this film doesn't really bring us anything new.
It moves the storyline on as required but follows in the trend of its two predecessors, none of which live up to the original trilogy.
To try to bring something as legendary as Star Wars up to date was a brave move by George Lucas, and credit should be given where due - but that's about it.
Hayden Christensen is thoroughly dislikeable, not only in his role, but as an actor as well.
The rest of the cast are fairly average and nothing much to write home about either.
Maybe it's because the originals were so brilliant, or maybe this film just isn't very good - either way, watch it once to complete the story and then stick with the first films.
