CONTEMPORARY monologues will be performed at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre next week.
Up Close and Personal will be presented by the Swan Playwrights in association with The Nonentities and will run from Wednesday, October 26 until Saturday, October 29.
The short plays include comedies, tragedies, poetry and bittersweet tales on a range of topics, among them insights into Sarajevo and Iraq and contemporary issues such as urban anxiety and infertility.
There will also be warm-hearted plays about nosy neighbours, the media world, school, keeping disappointment in perspective and dances with historical people
Director Dympna Jardine said: "It's been a real challenge to direct. Up Close and Personal is a collection of more than a dozen mini-dramas.
"I'd say we've definitely produced an evening with something for everyone."
