The world famous and controversial show Puppetry of the Penis is coming to the Swan Theatre, Worcester, next week. The production, which features the ancient art of genital origami, will be staged at the city's Swan Theatre at 7.30pm, on Friday, October 21, then again at 10pm.

Puppetry of the Penis was conceived by Australian Simon Morley, in 1996, as the title of a highbrow art calendar, showcasing 12 of his favorite penis installations. Years before, Simon's youngest brother had shown him his effort, The Hamburger.

Natural sibling rivalry resulted in the evolution of a grand repertoire of genital gesticulations. His natural choice of performance partner was David 'Friendy' Friend, whose reputation as the life and soul of any party was quickly growing.

Their debut at the 1998 Melbourne International Comedy Festival was a huge hit, kicking off an eight-month tour of Australia.

The pair then went on to perform at the 2000 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and their resounding success took them to London's West End, from where they have never looked back.
