COMPOSER Edward Elgar will be the subject of The Worcestershire County Museum Society's autumn lecture.
The group will meet at Hartlebury Castle on Wednesday at 7.30pm and the guest speaker will be musical director of the Kidderminster Choral Society, Geoffrey Weaver.
He will give a talk entitled Elgar - Local Hero and International Statesman which will cover the development of Elgar's instrumental and choral music, using passages from the composer's work.
There will be a small admission charge for the meeting, which will include refreshments, and both members and visitors are welcome.
