REGARDING shopping in Evesham, I wonder how many more shops will be moving out onto out of town shopping parks.
Curry's is already on the move. After my daughter's experience today I hope it will be Argos, after having reserved several items in the Evesham shop. She went this morning to pick them up having dropped two children off at schools. The youngest child fell asleep in the car so their being no parking spaces nearby available and knowingly having quite a few parcels to carry, she stopped outside in the loading area leaving the baby still asleep making it easier and quicker to manage all the parcels to the car. When she came outside minutes later it was to a parking ticket. It must have been pretty obvious that she was picking parcels up with a baby asleep and in sight of the shop. It's a shame that Evesham, is losing customers left right and centre because of the parking restrictions it will be a ghost town soon.
We fully understand parking wardens have a job to do but when obviously people are picking up items from a place such as Argos perhaps a bit of lenience would go a long way, with Christmas on the way I think most people will be shopping in Stratford or Malvern, at least one worry will be off your mind, worrying about parking wardens.
