Bodies litter the stage in the latest production by the West Malvern Players

In Web of Murder, a bitter and twisted old lady plots and schemes to find out what her family and friends really think of her by arranging a reading of her will while she is still alive.

Mayhem ensues and the murders begin. As the bodies pile up, we find out that while Minerva may be an old lady in a wheelchair, she is certainly not a sweet old dear.

This black comedy by Jonathan Troy has a high body count and a twist in the tale.

"It's comedy and horror. There's an awful lot of deaths," said producer Catherine Wheaton.

The play is only the second production by the newly-reformed West Malvern Players, who staged Daisy Pulls It Off earlier this year.

Web of Murder will be performed at West Malvern Village Hall on Thursday and Friday, October 13 and 14, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 (£3 concs), available on the door or in advance from Catherine Wheaton on 01684 567411.
