A REDDITCH rock band which had one of its songs used on the soundtrack of a Hollywood film will play in the town tomorrow night.
The Ritz Bros will play for the first time in Redditch since forming last April at the White Hart in Evesham Road, Headless Cross.
The lively three-piece perform a range of rock and rockabilly tracks including The Rolling Stones, The Stray Cats and Eddie Cochran. They also play some of their own original material.
Brothers Robby and Graham Ritz formed a group in 1973 under the name of Valhalla. They toured the UK for three years before both joining other bands.
In 1980, Stevie Ritz and Robby set up another group, producing a large number of original songs including Night-time Boy, which featured on the soundtrack of The 51st State, starring Samuel L Jackson.
The three brothers joined forces in 2004 when Robby returned from a tour of Japan and have been enjoying gigs in the Midlands since. However, tomorrow will be the first time they have played in their home town.
All three brothers
share the
vocals while Stevie plays bass, Graham is the drummer and Robby is on lead guitar.
The threesome will also be playing at the Wishing Well in Bromsgrove on November 5. For more information, visit the website at
