Over 120 ladies attended two Limited Edition Ladies' Lunches on September 7 & 8, held at the newly-refurbished Lyttelton Arms in Hagley. As well as a delicious two-course lunch (spit-roast chicken in a red wine jus or risotto with sunblushed tomatoes and goat's cheese, followed by summer berry pudding with blueberry ice-cream or sticky toffee pudding with fig and date ice-cream), the ladies enjoyed a summery glass of Pimm's on arrival plus complimentary wine and coffee.

They were also treated to a fashion show courtesy of Ann MacDowell's Noir boutique in Bewdley, with an array of stunning lingerie and swimwear, and a special make-up masterclass from professional make-up artist Iain Burton-Legge. At the second lunch, jewellery by Cathy Dakin and collectable teddy bears by Jean Jephcott were also on display.

Limited Edition is supporting the Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer charity, and a raffle was held to raise funds towards new equipment for Birmingham's QE Hospital. The fantastic prizes on offer were Gottex swimwear from Noir worth £120, two meals for two at the Lyttelton Arms, two private masterclasses with Iain, and one of Jean's hand-made teddies. Over the two days, over £626 was raised from the raffle as well as the sale of pink wristbands, pins and diaries.

Before the make-up masterclass each day, an auction was held with ladies bidding to become Iain's model - the winners were Maureen Baker and Maureen Firth, who received a fabulous makeover as well as learning new make-up tips. Iain also invited everyone to ask questions during the session.

Our next two lunches will be at The Seven Stars in Stourbridge and again there will be a fashion show courtesy of De Bradelei Mills of Kidderminster (see page 3). This discount fashion store retails goods by famous High Street names and collections by Planet, Windsmoor, Jacques Vert, Alexon and many other familiar names.

In addition Sally Durant of Springhill Clinic will be talking about Collagenics, and will hopefully be demonstrating some of these treatments. Guinea pigs may be required!
