EVESHAM and District Music Club has drawn up a programme of concerts that will delight music lovers.
The season starts on Friday, October 7 with a visit from the London Mozart Trio offering two outstanding and popular pieces of music, Schubert's Trio in E flat and Tchaikovsky's Trio in A minor.
Emma Johnson, with John Lenehan, makes a welcome return to Evesham on November 11 to give a programme of well-loved pieces ranging from Mozart to Benny Goodman. "This talented clarinettist has attracted enthusiastic audiences in Evesham in the past and demand for tickets is expected to be very heavy," said chairman John Child.
The Dante Quartet, who appear on December 9, will play the Hoffmesiter Quartet by Mozart and Beethoven's lst Razumovsky Quartet. On January 18, Rebecca Jones with Abigail Richards will play pieces for viola and piano by composers ranging from Schubert to Britten and on February 24 the world famous Chilingirian Quartet will play works by Hayden, Schumann and Shostakovich.
The season ends with an organ recital at All Saints' Church, Evesham, on Tuesday March 28 given by Christopher Monkton.
The first five concerts take place at the Arts Centre, Evesham, at 7.30pm. Tickets will be obtainable from the box office at the Arts Centre, Evesham Book Centre in Library Arcade or, for advance bookings, from the Almonry Heritage Centre on 01386 446944.
