DIVERSIONS, the Dance Company of Wales, is back with an invigorating programme of contemporary dance that includes the world premiere of new work by Montreal's celebrated choreographer Hlne Blackburn.
The first piece by the full company is fiery, physically demanding and passionate and will be accompanied by Bach's piano music.
The second piece - Practice Paradise - is choreographed by Stijn Celis. Described as a modern interpretation of Les Sylphides, and accompanied by the classic Chopin score, the bright red costumes and set are sure to enthral.
The final treat pays tribute to Diversions' early roots by reviving the hit love duet of 1989, Oakfield Ridge.
Choreographed by the American dance artist David Dorfman and performed to quirky electronic beats, the duet charts the emotional cycle of a relationship.
Diversions presents its triple bill at Hereford's Courtyard theatre on Tuesday, September 27, at 7.30pm (0870 1122330) and at Brecon's Theatr Brycheiniog on Thursday, September 29, at 7.45pm (01874 611622).
