BIRDWATCHERS in Wyre Forest will be able to get their hands on an up-to-date guide to help them with their hobby.
The New Birds of the West Midlands by Graham and Janet Harrison, has recently been published by the West Midland Bird Club.
It has information about the birds found throughout the area and includes details about more than 330 species as well as a foreword, written by the club's president, Bill Oddie.
The guide covers the birds' habitats, their distribution within the region, population trends and has full details of rare birds including the Hawaiian Goose.
There is also information on the best sites to visit to see many species and has records of birds that have been spotted in the past.
Tony Kettle, chairman of the Kidderminster branch of the West Midland Bird Club, said: "This is the book for the birdwatcher in this area. It includes everything a birdwatcher wants to know."
The book, priced £39, is available from NbotWM, PO Box 1, Studley, Warwickshire B80 7JG. Further information is available from www.westmidlandbirdclub.com
