A STAGE adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel Great Expectations arrives at Kingsley College Theatre next Tuesday as part of the NTC Touring Theatre.
The small-scale theatre company has provided high quality touring theatre for 25 years and their appearance has been organised as part of Worcestershire's Shindig professional arts programme.
Stewart Howson has adapted the well-loved tale, directed by Gillian Hambleton, that follows young Pip's quest to better himself and seize hold of his "expectations".
A spokesman said: "It is a mystery, a love story and a story with a big but simple theme - that affection, loyalty and conscience are more important than the grasping pursuit of wealth and social advancement."
The cast features Phillip Yarrow as Pip, Kim Evans as Estella, Anstey Thomas as Miss Havisham with David Reakes as Joe and Nigel Collins as Magwitch.
Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions) available from 830731 or on the door subject to availablility.
