Former Easternders star Shaun Williamson is set to join the cast of the smash hit musical Saturday Night Fever.
The show will play Birmingham Hippodrome from September 26 to October 1.
Shaun, famous throughout the country for playing Barry Evans in the nation's favourite soap, will be taking the role of Monty the DJ in the hit musical inspired by the 1977 film phenomenon starring John Travolta.
Direct from its successful run in London's West End, Saturday Night Fever features hits from the Bee Gees' legendary soundtrack and also stars winner of Channel 4's Musicality Rebecca Dent.
Shaun made his critically-acclaimed West End debut last year in the role of superstar DJ 'Monty', the flamboyant and sleazy ladykiller in charge of the wheels of steel at New York's Odyssey nightclub.
Shaun has recently been seen on our screens presenting ITV1's innovative 24 Hour Quiz, was the high-point scoring winner of Celebrity Mastermind 2004 and will soon be seen starring in the new Ricky Gervais comedy Extras.
