ONE of Birmingham's landmark comedy venues will be serving up a barrel of laughs this month to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The Glee Club has hosted more than 8,000 performances throughout its years, with big name acts such as Peter Kay, Lee Evans, Jack Dee and Johnny Vegas all having cut their teeth there.
And its Thursday night offering of four comedy acts - plus food - for just £9.95 - has seen approximately 50,000 Balti curry dishes served up!
To mark the big birthday occasion, the venue has organised an extra-special line up of comedy troupers old and new, including the club's original compere Andy Robinson and stars.
He will be at the venue, in the Arcadian Centre off Hurst Street, on Thursday, September 9, with Terry Alderton and Jeff Green and on Friday September 10, and Saturday, September 11, with Terry Alderton and Jimeoin.
Bookings can be made on 0870 241 5093 or online at www.glee.co.uk
