IT is not every day a stately home opens its grounds to host a live music festival so I had to satisfy my curiosity when the wild child of jazz came a knockin'.
I was not disappointed. We were treated to a host of timeless classic like I Get a Kick out of You and Singin' in the Rain - luckily this was not appropriate!
We marvelled at his own cheeky Pharrell Williams's Frontin' and a sublime version of Radiohead's High and Dry.
To complement his all-round sound, Cullum included his own self-penned numbers Twenty Something and his homage to Will Young, I Want to be a Pop Star.
For someone who looks like a vertically challenged Gareth Gates, Jamie Cullum's stage presence is awesome, especially with his ability to play piano while standing on it.
He is also a musical maestro who cannot only tinkle the ivories but can also play guitar, trumpet and piano slapping.
Overall, it was an outstanding performance complemented by the historic Ragley Hall as a backdrop. MW
