FOLLOWING the announcement of their retirement in November last year, Lindisfarne were faced with a predicament - should they proceed with their planned acoustic shows in 2004?
After some considerable thought and soul-searching, it was decided that rather than disappoint countless fans, these shows would indeed be The Final Fling.
Lindisfarne Acoustic is still Lindisfarne, but different, as anyone who comes along to The Final Fling will witness.
The band is made up of Rod Clements on slide guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals, Dave Hull-Denholm on acoustic guitar, 12-string guitar, harmonica and vocals, and Billy Mitchell on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica.
Their CD Lindisfarne Acoustic 2, will be available to buy on the tour.
Catch them this Sunday Galleon Folk Club, in Stourport-on-Severn.
