STRING and brass players interested in playing some orchestral masterpieces are in demand to join Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra.
The orchestra is due to give four concerts to large audiences at Pershore Abbey next season, besides performances for children at the Swan Theatre, Worcester.
Some of the works to be performed include Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade, Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra and Beethoven's Symphony No 1.
The orchestra needs some regular trombone players. While there are people it can call on, it wants regular members.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, in the Magdalene Room, St George's Church, St George's Square, Worcester.
