A STUNNING selection of plays whose cast include Penelope Keith (The Good Life, To the Manor Born) and the actress behind the 1980s TV policewoman Juliet Bravo, are being brought to Malvern this summer by the founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Also a seasoned director of the Royal National Theatre, Sir Peter Hall's line-up starts with a revival of Bernard Shaw's famous satire Man and Superman on Tuesday, August 17, followed by Moliere's 17th Century masterpiece, Don Juan.
Comedies
One of Noel Coward's most famous comedies, Blithe Spirit, also gets an airing, along with a new adaptation by Timberlake Wertenbaker of Dava Sobel's best-seller Galileo's Daughter.
The plays are performed in repertory with casts that include Julian Glover, seen at Malvern in Phaedre (1998) and Taking Sides (2004), and Anna Carteret, best known for her TV role as Juliet Bravo.
Rebecca Hall and Will Keen also star, as well as Olivier Award-winning actress Joanna Riding.
