EVESHAM Arts Centre is also launching a new season of film screenings, giving movie-starved townsfolk a chance to see the top shows while its own cinema lies in darkness.
The first season, January to April, will be a trial period to see if there is enough interest to continue.
Films will be shown in the main theatre and some may be shown in the studio theatre later on. Many will have a three-night run or sometimes longer for more popular movies and organisers will try to show family films in the afternoon or early evening so younger viewers can go along. It will cost £5 to get in, or £4 for pensioners and under-16s. And theatre-lovers need not worry as the arts centre's usual programme will continue alongside the cinema screenings.
The programme begins with Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason (15) tonight and tomorrow at 8pm and other January screenings will include The Motorcycle Diaries (15) on Tuesday at 8pm, De-Lovely (PG), on Saturday, January 15 at 6pm and 8.30pm and a double bill on Friday, January 28 will see Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (PG) at 6pm and Bride and Prejudice (12A) at 8pm.
