DESCRIBED as an intoxicating mix of wicked comedy and smart drama, Being Julia (12a) is showing for a week at Malvern Cinema from today (Friday, January 7). Based on Somerset Maugham's novel, Theatre, and adapted by Ronald Harwood, it is a story of love and revenge set in the world of London thespians. Annette Bening plays the title role, backed by a cast including Jeremy Irons, Juliet Stevenson, Michael Gambon, Miriam Margolyes and Rita Tushingham. Being Julia is daily at 7.30pm, with a 4pm matinee on Saturday, Sunday and Thursday.
