THIS is the third instalment in the point and click adventure series.
Gamers control George Stobbart for the majority of the game but also have sections where they control Nico Collard.
This game marks Broken Sword's transformation from 2D to 3D graphics.
Understandably gamers may have been a little concerned that this would detract from the experience but thankfully it does not.
Broken Sword is as good as ever with an exciting storyline that sees George trying to uncover the Secret of the Templars. Graphically Broken Sword has improved much since its predecessor and in terms of gameplay it is as enjoyable as ever with an easy to use interface.
Gamers can interact with other characters, explore areas, and search for clues. Broken Sword is similar in style and gameplay to Monkey Island yet creates more suspense as gamers wonder what will occur next. For those unfamiliar with Broken Sword, it is the equivalent to an interactive film: you make decisive actions, such as completing a puzzle, and more of the plot is revealed.
This game is certainly not for those who just enjoy mindless violence for it requires a great deal of thought in solving the various puzzles that the game presents.
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon will keep gamers guessing but is immensely enjoyable and rewarding to play. It is recommended to fans of its predecessors and others interested in point and click adventures.
