BUDDING actors and actresses have the chance to star in a new musical adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Stratford musical director Wilson Roberts, who staged Oklahoma! at The Swan Theatre during its visitor season in November, is collaborating with writer Reg Mitchell for the fifth time to stage his new family show Alice! It follows on from the pair's recent success with Elves! The Musical.
Mitchell said: "Although this is not a straight adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, it's based on many of the characters and events to be found there - The Royal Family of Hearts, The Duchess, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and an assortment of birds and animals. And Alice, of course."
The production is taking place from March 23 to 27 and casting will be decided by open auditions which will be staged this Saturday, January 15, in St Peter's Mission, Manor Road, Stratford. Children and adults are needed and anyone interested is invited to go along on the day between 2pm and 5pm. Anyone who needs extra information can call Wilson Roberts on 01789 551442.
