JAZZ lovers can enjoy the music of the Alan Barnes Quartet at Hanley Castle High School on Friday, January 21.
Alan Barnes is recognised as an outstanding jazz performer on the world stage and is the winner of many awards. The sax and clarinet player has played with the Pasedena Orchestra, Bob Wilber's Big Band and the Humphrey Lyttelton Band.
The concert's special guest, Roy Williams, is an award-winning trombone player. It also features John Pearce on piano, Dave Green on bass and Steve Brown on drums.
Organised by the Friends of Upton Jazz Festival, it starts at 8pm and tickets are £10.
There will be a bar, tea and coffee and all seats are unreserved. Doors open one hour before the start of the concert.
