WHAT can I say that has already not been said about this fantastic show?
As always I left the theatre feeling I had been to a wonderful party.
This version is the "proper" one, the Bill Kenwright production which has been around for over 20 years, and knocks spots off the glossy West End production which did the rounds a few years ago.
Ian "H" Watkins, formerly with the group Steps, is a brilliant Joseph, showing a flair for comedy, and putting across the songs well, and Amanda Claire, is one of the best narrators I have ever seen - every word clear.
Lee Mead also shines as Pharaoh, but the entire cast is so talented, the brothers have good voices, and their sheer enthusiasm is contagious.
If there is anyone who has not already seen this show, I urge them not to put it off any longer.
The party is at the Hippo until August 21 and, after all, Any Dream Will Do. VJS.
