LOCAL singers keen to join one of the oldest and most established Choral Societies in the country will be interested to know that rehearsals have begun for the next production of the Worcester Festival Choral Society.
The concert, 'A night at the Opera,' will be held on March 12 and is a selection of operatic highlights including music by Verdi, and Mozart.
Conductor and musical director, Adrian Lucas, says: "We are always happy to welcome new singers to the society and especially enjoy being able to encourage younger members to take their place alongside our existing, more experienced singers."
Rehearsals are held on Monday nights in Worcester Cathedral. Interested singers should contact ecretary, Lesley Bellerby 01527 820409.
An ability to read music is essential, and membership of the society is by audition. Energy, enthusiasm and commitment are also essential.
