TWO bands are planning to give townsfolk a night to remember on Friday, February 18, when they take to the stage in aid of Primrose Hospice's 'Primrose at the Princess' appeal.
Dempsey's Lot will perform lively Irish music to get townsfolk's toes tapping, while get The Gist will play something for everyone, with hits from the sixties right up to the present day.
The event will take place at Bromsgrove Rugby Club, in Finstall Road, and tickets cost £8, including a ploughman's supper.
Primrose Hospice, of St Godwald's Road, is committed to raising £100,000 annually towards the running costs of the palliative care unit at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, on Stourbridge Road.
The unit, which was officially opened last year by the Duchess of Gloucester, is known as 'Primrose at the Princess'.
It consists of six individual bedrooms, a day room, a visitors' room, kitchen and access to an enclosed garden area and it cares for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses in Bromsgrove, Redditch and the surrounding area.
For tickets, contact Primrose's fundraising department on 01527 875444.
