THE comedy Joking Apart is set to be staged at Worcester's Swan Theatre this month and people are being urged to book their tickets.
The play will be performed by the Swan Theatre Amateur Company and is being directed by Brian J Burton.
A spokesman for the theatre described it as a "bittersweet comedy".
He explained the story-line, saying: "Anthea and Richard are naturally charming and successful in everything they do, but almost without knowing it, they dominate the lives of their friends and business partners.
"Over a period of 12 years, they entertain them in their garden, with its tennis courts, gazebo and their seasonal firework parties.
"The influence that the couple have on the lives of these people is both dramatic and compelling."
It will run from Thursday, February 10 to Saturday, February 12, at 7.30pm, and at the same time from Monday, February 14 until Saturday, February 19.
Tickets cost £9.50, with concessions priced at £8 at the first night, together with Valentine's night costing £7. Call Huntingdon Arts Box Office on 01905 611427.
