A LEADING British pianist who has achieved international recognition for championing music of our time is to perform in Worcester.
Mark Bebbington, who has featured on national radio and is getting rave reviews from top critics for his live and CD performances, will be at Huntingdon Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 8.
Over recent seasons Mark has given critically-acclaimed recitals both in London and Paris that have laid special emphasis on French 19th and 20th Century pianistic traditions.
Unsurprisingly, his Huntingdon Hall programme is a French/English one, featuring Debussy preludes, including The Girl with the Flaxen Hair, and some much neglected British music.
"He is truly a remarkable pianist, with an immense range of colour, a subtle use of the pedal and an ability to project the composers' immense climaxes with clarity as well as power," said one Times critic.
