Anyone already in on the Holiday on Ice secret won't need persuading - they'll have their tickets already for Hollywood, the new show from the creators of the world's most popular live entertainment.
But anyone who loves the big numbers in any show, the razzamatazz of a great finale, the glitz, the glamour and the kitsch of the movies, but hasn't yet discovered Holiday on Ice, will be swept along by the sheer exuberance of this whistle-stop re-creation of movie moods and memories.
Perfectly paced to embrace everything from the comic pathos of Charlie Chaplin to the dynamic disco of Dirty Dancing, Footloose and Fame, from the drama of Dr Zhivago to the gorgeous elegance of Fred and Ginger and a sci-fi inspired fantasy finale, Holiday on Ice Hollywood convincingly recreates the very best of Tinseltown on ice.
With an international cast of world-class skaters, 350 dazzling costumes, fabulous special effects and choreography by a man whose name was synonymous with skating in the 1980s, Robin Cousins, the spectacular show is a non-stop icetravaganza that sparkles with all the glamour and glitz of Hollywood, and the unmissable flash of skate blades.
This is a production as slick as the ice the fantasy is played out on, with choreography and execution as sharp as the blades that cut through it.
Holiday on Ice is at Cardiff International Arena until Sunday (02920 224488). PM
