TALENTED pupils from a Bromsgrove dance school took part in a masterclass from a West End dancer earlier this month.
The young dancers from Martina Ponsonby's Stage Door Dance Academy grooved their way through the workshop given by Simon Harper, a principal dancer who has performed in musicals such as Grease and Chicago.
He taught the pupils from the Stoke Prior-based school routines from Grease in the hour-long session.
It was the second masterclass Simon has taught and owner of the school Martina Ponsonby said: "All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
The classes were divided into three ages groups; juniors, inters and 14-year-olds and upwards.
In the inter class Simon Harper picked out 13-year-old Hannah Pask for putting her heart and soul into the session, and he said she had smiled the whole way through.
Martina said: "It made me feel so proud."
Martina is hoping Simon will be able to return to Stoke Prior Village Hall on Hanbury Road for another class in the future as she said: "The pupils get so much out of it."
Martina added that an adult jazz class held at the school to raise money for the Millennium Divers Hikkaduwa Village Fund was a complete success.
She said they had raised about £250 and they were hoping to put on another class for a different charity after Easter.
