PROLIFIC playwriting genius Alan Ayckbourn has another of his creations on the Malvern stage next week.
Drowning on Dry Land is a new Ayckbourn comedy, in which he turns his eye to look at our modern society of media-driven fame.
It focuses on Charlie, an A-lister, whose name and face are everywhere and who has a beautiful wife, a magnificent home and immense wealth.
But what has he ever done to make him so famous? Does anyone really care? And will a ruthless TV journalist find a chink in his armour?
This is Ayckbourn's 66th play and he is also its director. The cast features Stephen Beckett, known as Dr Matt Ramsden from Coronation Street and PC Jervis from The Bill, as well more faces familiar to Malvern audiences.
