BADSEY SOCIETY: Retiring chairman Terry Sparrow spoke in his address to the society's AGM of another highly successful year. Solid sales of the society's second publication had helped produce a buoyant balance sheet. After the official business, Mr Sparrow put on his local historian's hat, and gave an entertaining talk on the 19th century Enclosure Act. The officials elected for the forthcoming year are: chairman Will Dallimore; secretary Maureen Spinks; treasurer Terry Sparrow, and committee Ian Gibson, Tony Jerram, Richard Phillips and Neil Thould.
