NEVER has so much pouting been done by so many in such a short space of time.
And it's not just the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie who are responsible for this crime - the film's hero Jude Law also does more than his fair share.
When giant robots begin to make guest appearances in New York, roving reporter Polly Perkins (Paltrow) decides to investigate, enlisting the help of old flame and swashbuckling action man "Sky Captain" Sullivan (Law).
The intrepid pair see the fate which could await the planet if these robots begin to take control and are determined to uncover who has created them.
There are some truly breathtaking special effects in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow but this will fail to direct the audience's attention away from the fact the plot is ridiculous and the script corny beyond measure.
However, if you do find yourself managing to make it through the 106 minutes of Sky Captain, the ending is stunning.
