TWO Kidderminster friends who gave up their jobs in acting and radio presenting to perform a tribute to the Blues Brothers are preparing for their first official concert with a live band.
Guy Richardson and Tony James have been touring the country as Elwood and Jake Blues for almost two years and recently decided it was "high time" to enhance their act with live music instead of a backing track.
After forming a six-piece band comprising a saxophone player, trumpeter, drummer, keyboard player, guitarist and bassist, the singers and musicians are set to perform their first official concert together at the Boars Hear Taphouse next Thursday evening.
The ticket-only event will be followed by a tour of the UK, starting on Saturday, April 23.
A possible concert in Dubai is also in the pipeline, according to 32-year-old Guy.
He added: "I can guarantee it's going to be a fantastic night."
More information and tickets for the concert can be obtained by visiting or calling the Boars Head Taphouse on 01562 68776.
