A CELEBRATION of music is set to hit Hagley when both professional and amateur musicians show off their skills at this year's festival.
The third Hagley Parish Music Festival will be held from April 20-24 and will boast an impressive five-day line-up of recitals and workshops for audiences and participants with varying musical tastes.
One of the key events is a grand celebrity concert which will bring together international music stars, violinist Tasmin Little and organist, pianist and conductor Wayne Marshall on Friday, April 22 at St John's Church, Hagley.
The festival will also include a performance by the award winning Staffordshire Brass Band. At the event, on Thursday, April 21, Bromsgrove musician Simon Lesley has written an arrangement of two of the popular songs.
Arrangements of 'A Fifth of Beethoven' from Saturday Night Fever and The Temptations' Just My Imagination will be included in the programme.
Other performances will come from young performers from the area with a lively finale when choirs and musicians join together to sing rousing masterpieces on Sunday, April 24.
